I manage my accounts and 2 of my relatives' accounts at Datek and one relative's two accounts at TD Waterhouse. I strongly dislike TD Waterhouse because orders are implemented next day and available cash is not updated and displayed. Executions seem OK.

If anybody has any objection, please speak now.

I have 5 accounts and Waterhose is the worst. They trade ahead of you and getting anyone on the phone is impossible, etc., etc.

I like CSFBDirect the best now (mainly because I've been doing so well there).

However, I'm the only one in the world who likes E-trade so take that FWIW.

I have Waterhouse has my active trading account, about 1100 trades last year.

I found Waterhouse easy and accurate, I have Ameritrade, Etrade and SSB accounts too.

I believe TD Waterhouse the best.

A good example, my 1099 forms are directly downloaded into my Turbo Tax, better yet, I can open the online 1099 for 1999 or 2000, copy into word as a text file, open it in excel and with a few moments I have easily figured all trades for all trades buy/sell.

Etrade and Ameritrade's cut and paste doesn't work from my browser.

I would recommend Waterhouse over any of my other account, specially SSB "PUU".

G, **OFFTOPIC*** Re: TDW,

Did you check if TDW offers
1) History of *ALL* transaction in your account?
2) $9.99 for most stock/option trade?
3) Email or webbased monthly statement as choice?
4) Phone based trading?

I know Datek for 1-3 but no 4th.
