Have you ever known someone with anorexia? I had a dear friend who had that. It altered my view of personal realities. She is dead because of something that was in her mind. In a very real way her way of seeing reality was her way of killing herself. That's a very powerful thing to do. It's hard to starve yourself to death. Your body doesn't want to die. But she was able to bend her mind to this task with awesome ferocity. I find that fascinating and instructive.
