Incredible is it not Mike - this fear of missing the bottom!

We have a one week, manipulated (per CNBC), short-covering squeeze rally that flys in the face of massive bad news and everyone wants in.

Even this bogus chip upgrade by Solomon, against the Dan Niles downgrade of semis - if you read the report the Solomon guy was getting a chicken sandwich for lunch and it hit him that he should upgrade the sector!!!!!! LOL.

The economic numbers this week were horrific - people are clueless on how to invest. All they understand is momo, get in on all the Wall Street hype - I mean give me a break, one guy has an opinion on the semis and look at that explosion. This week convinced me more than ever how in trouble this stock market is and how out of touch the American public is with investing.

Nothing has changed folks, nada, nothing - the economy is growing weaker, the demand is not improving, the oversupply is still there and will be for some time, the debt scenario on a national, state, business and personal level has not changed, the energy crises has just begun, the bubble is still in the real estate sector, people are still getting laid off, insiders are still selling, the dollar is still massively overvalued...

Oh I forgot the boys are home from China - that improves the market - how stupid of me. LOL

ONE WEEK and they all have their rally hats on - I stand amazed at how GREEDY and ADDICTED the market game has become.

I played the rally in a small way, still have many shorts in place and used the rally to build some new ones. And I do so with no fear.

Next week will tell the real tale, as we have major earnings from the semis and many leaders of the tech revolution. But I shorted the semis - my bet is with Dan Niles - not the Solomon clown.

In addition Fridays manipulation of the close was sick to watch, many traders went home early for the holiday, so they used the low volume to their advantage. This whole week being a holiday week is suspect.

Happy Trading - and smart money does not chase a rally.
