Thanks for the information on weighting in the Nasdaq.
I was looking for it and could not get a source. It is not really market cap weighted but something close enough. I believe they started adjusting it a couple of years ago in order to put some limits on having one stock influence it too much.

It is possible that MSFT may be capped at 10% in this index--not sure.

Tells you how important MSFT is to the QQQs. In addition, given that biotechs did not collapse to the same degree as the networkers, communications chip, and optical stocks--biotech movements have be influencing the QQQ more than any time in the past.
