greenlaw: You're twisting fundamentals all over the place. The bottom line is how much money are they and will they make, *not* what their inventories are/were in relation to stock price. Who cares if inventories were the same as they are now if their revs & earnings are higher?? You're comparing apples w/ oranges. Bottom line is that most semis are trading at 10-30x earnings, and those earnings will uptick significantly as the economy turns around. Let's face it: semis are a cyclical industry these days, and that does mean a short term hit to earnings, but long term growth is very clear.

Someday I'll find someone bullish on the Semi sector... but probably only after it is up substantially. Too funny...

BTW, I am strongly considering a straddle play *short* term since many semis such as INTC, TXN and KLAC are at or near resistance levels... while many others have already broken out.
