Paul, Tyan plans:

> Server Solutions:

“Sharks" (S4520). This mainboard will be built on ServerWorks GC-HE chipset and will support Dual/Quad Socket603 (for Intel Pentium 4/Foster). It will be equipped with DIMM slots for PC2100/PC1600 DDR SDRAM and will support PCI 66MHz. The first samples are expected to come out in June, while the mass shipments should start in July-August.

"Panthers" (S2688). This is a dual-Socket370 mainboard for Intel Pentium III Tualatin processors based on ServerWorks HE-SL chipset. e the mass shipments should start in July-August.

The mainboard will support PC133/PC100 SDRAM and feature 2 onboard LAN controllers. The sampling is scheduled for May, and the mass production will also start in Q2 2001.

"Tiger 200T" (S2505T). This is another dual-Socket370 mainboard for Intel Tualatin CPUs. However, it is based on VIA Apollo Pro133T chipset. It will have 4 DIMM slots for PC133/PC100 SDRAM, 1 AGP 4x slot, integrated ATI Rage XL graphics core and onboard Promise ATA-100 RAID controller. The first samples are planned for May and the mass manufacturing should start in June-July.
"Expos" (S2638). This is also a dual-Socket370 solution based on VIA Apollo Pro266T chipset and hence supporting PC2100/PC1600 DDR SDRAM. It will also have an AGP 4x slot, onboard Intel LAN, 64bit PCI (VIA VPX chip). The sampling should start in June. And the mass production of this mainboard is scheduled for Q3.

As you pointed out, a lot of Foster infrastructure, but also Tualatin. The Panther one uses a ServerWorks HE-SL chipset. Sounds like a DP 0.13 Tualatin server, low power, > 1.0 GHz for the new modular, blade servers that are coming. These could close out any AMD DP server offering for the modular, blade architectures unless they can do a very low power, > 1.0 GHz chip also.
