As for using video on FC, consider what happens when a new device is added to the FC SAN. You have to do a LIP. Traffic stops, and you loose 100% of the frames. So, both FC and TCP/IP have issues.

I don't think anybody here would consider an FC arbitrated loop as suitable platform for reliable, real-time video delivery. Wouldn't you agree though that an FC fabric or director, with redundant paths, failover, and no single point of failure is another story? AFAIK fabric login is non-disruptive.
