Being a military brat, I went through some of what they went through yesterday, although my dad's adventures weren't nearly as dramatic. I still go through it in a small way every time one of my brothers comes back from overseas, especially when they've been in an Arab country.

My wife is a military brat, her dad served 27 years in the U.S. Marines, he served everywhere and retired a Sgt. Major... there were only two Sgt. Majors in all of Camp Lejune out of more than 30,000 Marines at the time.....
