So why don't you enlighten us on this "vast Bush energy conspiracy"? How exactly are they doing it? Try and be specific now, innuendo's won't cut it AS. Give me the facts. Tell me how in less than 3 months Bush has been able to manipulate the entire energy industry into driving up the price and creating the California shortages.

You must have some actual evidence to back-up this latest Democrat party talking point spin.

Oh, I guess you really don't....Just saying "there is a vast right wing conspiracy" is enough to convince some gullible people.

american spirit re..<<<<<). Otherwise this could cost us all a lot more than the S+L debacle (600 billion).<<<<<

I assume you think it was a mistake to bail out the S + L. Maybe we should have just stagnated like Japan.

According to the BP shareholders article, the Bush Administration WANTS high energy prices to help them push into Alaska and all the oil companies are going to contribute to shortages this summer to scare the US voters into backing off their concern for the environment. <<<<

Surely you jest. Almost every recession of the last 30 yrs has been brought on by high energy prices. Certainly GW doesn't want to be associated with another recession. More drilling in ANWR or anywhere else will increase oil supplies and bring down prices.

Has one word been uttered by the Bush team about trying to bring down prices? <<<<<

Lower prices would increase consumption and decrease exploration. High prices would force conservation, and I thought you were in favor of that.

I'm saying you are full of sh*t. For instance, I'm paying less for gas now than I was at the end of the Clinton Administration and I've NEVER experienced a shortage situation. The Calif. situation is obviously the result of their own whacko enviro policy. It has nothing to do with Bush. JLA

American:

Since you seem to feel that somehow Bush is responsible for the increase in energy prices that began in Clinton's administration, perhaps you would elighten us on exactly Bush mangaged this.
