My take on it was like this. I don't want to be pushed around by the majority or the minority. I want the freedom to make my own mistakes without big brother going, "there there average joe, we'll do your thinking for you." I'm quite sure someone could do my thinking for me more efficiently than I could. I could also be forced with a whip at the crack of dawn to get more work done, but that's not really the point. The point is having the freedom to decide what is best for your one life, your only life - a transcendent miracle or some cosmic accident - it belongs to you alone.
