I knew a girl who spoke in tongues in college. She kind of scared me.
And I almost forgot, there was this guy who used to haveg out in the quad at my college and call people names. He would harrass women for not having the long hair he claimed the Bible mandated them to have. And for wearing pants. Women were not supposed to wear pants. That was annoying.
And a Krishna gave me something at an airport once and then wanted money and I didn't want to give him any. That was annoying too. And the people who come to my door even though it has a no soliciting sign- Jehova's witnesses, Mormons, whoever they are, that bugs me. Especially when I'm sick or doing something important and I get called to the door for something I don't want.

Funny I was listening to a Tim Robbins interview at the UCLA
School of Drama on the famous actors
series this am..

Turns out he grew up in the Village & his father
was one of the original "Highwaymen" folk group .
They were the group that did the song
"Michael Rowed the Boat a' Shore".
..seems like
a long time ago , right ?

Well he was relating how he would go
to their concerts as a young kid &
used to really love how people
got into that song , and everyone in
the house would be singing religiously
with great feeling along
in unison.

One of those really moving experiences young
kids have , and he was so proud
of his dad leading all
those people in song ...

Sure I could see that someone chanting
could be a little unerving at
5am in the morning ...or singing
choral hymns too for
that matter.

;-)

But whatever gets people , hugging , singing, chanting or dancing ,
is better than a lot of other things
they could be doing.<g>

you probably wished he was more into biking? ...hehe
