Oh come on.

Read the post you linked....he starts a site.....and posts on it under his usual alias while chatting with a bunch of friends....as the site begins to grow and think more seriously about going commercial he stops using his usual alias and posts only under the Ihub Admin Matt alias..... the third alias is just his real name, which he reserves so no one else can have it....but never uses.

I have no idea if the site will be good or if the backers are on the up and up, but what you have cited is evidence of nothing.

In the post of Matt's which you linked to he mentions being part of an investment team which started iHUB. Do you know who the others were that were a part of this investment team?
Can anyone paste that WSJ article here?

>>>>from matt 4/14>>>>>If you read the recent WSJ article you will notice that I was part of an investment team. I was known as Fatt Matt. It was the seed for the site. That was how I was known, so that is how this place got started -- my friends. If it weren't for them, this place would be non-existant. So I posted under that name to get this place going.<<<<<

Actually on the multiple logins i thought he dealt with it pretty well, declared that he would use only one in the future ... multiples were common here once in the early days you know ... i know somebody who forgot their password and just registered again, this was before SI started subscription, it was free ... and i think the letter of the law here is that a person have no more than one active account, so no problem.

Agreed, people shouldn't drag baggage from one site to another ... however some will, it's inevitable ... i plan to avoid doing that as much as possible, should i go anywhere ... but in a way the whole net is a single place, you can open up six windows with six different sites and post away and if you use the same nick you'll get the same reactions from some ... 'wherever ya go, there ya are' .

How the CoB affects the quality of poster that the site attracts - this is key imho ... if it's perceived as run by pumpsters and control freaks then it will draw fewer eyeballs and fewer quality posters and never amount to much ... on the other hand, i think i see how it could work well with a quality chairman .... maybe ... i dunno .... Matt is quite stuck on the idea, it's his vision of the best way to overcome problems seen elsewhere, and fact is those problems do exist .. unfortunate his prior connection with otc-bb plays perhaps, lined up with the spectre of censorship they lead to instant suspicion ..... but Bob has been quite clear on how he intends to interpret the concept - investorshub.com

Each site has features i like and features i don't like ... and there are so many around now, i post on these two as well as stockhouse and stockwatch sometimes ... it's hard to see how a startup could capture a market without some specialisation, some distinction from the others ... could come to a quality vs quantity debate, which leads immediately to the question of who decides the definition of quality -g-
