Shawshank Redemption ?

Yes , definitely a "must see"...

Folk era , was just a start when you think of it .
The songs were simple and the messages clear , and it
was sort of like chanting cause many of them
had chorus repeats to make some Greek
Tragedies wince....

Like Cumbaya my Lord , Cumbaya ...LOL!

But , when you think of it , people in the midst
of a world of change ready to blow itself to pieces
at anytime , and fear and misunderstanding and
national/regional/religious historical "hates" rearing
their ugly heads around every corner ...

America the Beautiful was
out there in full array , enforcing it's
domino theories and crushing the
great Communist threats , while keeping
the oil flowing in the middle-east , and
building enough nukes to wipe out the Earth
Mars , and a couple of moons of
Jupiter to boot....

Well you know ...people needed to congregate
and share a little musical "existential" fellowship
once in a while . Course that wasn't so easy
to do openly if you were a black person and living
in Alabama....

or a Vietnamese peasant.
