I still don't think under those circumstances that having the three aliases are a problem IF the uses of them are as Matt has claimed.

For the record, neither do I. All this anonymous posting stuff is all well and fine, but for those that have an Internet presence, I can understand wanting to "protect" your "name". Pity that even one's name is not unique on this planet. I wonder how many Billy Smiths there are out there.

However, I don't think that "Matt Brown" is more worthy of protection than any other name out there. If it is that important, just "ban" the name entirely. You won't find any three letter expletives spelled out on license plates, for instance.

You say he uses all three regularly....if that's true, I withdraw the "Oh come on" and replace it with an interested "oh really?"

No, I said that he used all three regularly. That's easily verified over on that site. With a few exceptions, I don't believe he was using two at one time. That's not the point. He has said that just having multiple aliases is forbidden.

By the way, here's another matter.

The "Fatt_Matt" of Raging Bull has the same particulars -- location, age, investorshub.com email address, and so on. That poster has been shamelessly touting his InvestorsHub site all over Raging Bull. Yet, is that conduct not against the IHub terms of use?

It's a double standard, and I'm not impressed.

The past association he has with some people who were involved in stocks that were not on the up and up is far more troubling. I would invite his explanations about what he has posted regarding that.

Yes, I can understand your point here.

I know he has read the things I posted since I got two PM's from him today, but unfortunately the PM's, far from clearing up the matter, only raised more questions and doubts in my mind.

Never a good sign when that happens.

I will say this. His reaction to my posting a link to the Club Fatt site was to take the site down.

Also never a good thing.

I have an open mind and a large degree of respect for integrity. These are all fair questions. What are the answers, Matt?

Now you have aroused my curiosity on these matters as well.

Frankly, from a poster's perspective. I find the double standards with the various "terms of service" a bit disconcerting. The matters you raise could be a far bigger concern, depending on the answers to your questions.

I shall wait and see.

WillP
