Of course. I'm just like you in that way.

For one thing, I waited tables in college. (I am also a great tipper. My mother, who had the depression psychology in every other way, was a good tipper, teaching us when we were children that you should order something cheaper if need be, but not save money at the expense of a waiter.)

I also offer snacks to any service person who works at our house. Last summer the Roto-Rooter guy accepted the offer to eat lunch on the porch with us. My husband thought this was going a bit far, since the guy was, after all clearing out our septic line, lol. But the RR man was very happy, said it was a first, and didn't charge us for some extra work he did!... Courtesy pays, is the moral of that story!~
