Yum! Nope, no Honey Baked Ham stores here. Sounds like just what we needed, though. No more Easter wieners for the Poet family.

Peeps are my passion. I am very very specific on which ones are best and how they should be eaten. The chick shapes are best, and they must be yellow or lavender. Pink tastes subtly bitter. I have to buy them at least a week before Easter and slice open the package to let them begin to dry out. The more stale, the better. The head must be eaten first. Sucked off, to be honest, and held in the mouth till it melts. The body must be eaten in two mouth-stuffing crunchy bites. Oh! I need more.

Easter chocolate is great too, though we usually begin by nibbling the ears off bunnies first. You're a candy guy? Have you tried the new Cadbury chocolate-filled and caramel-filled eggs? They should be outlawed.
