By use of the word "gang" , I don't necessarily mean the kind that carries weapons and results in serious felonious acts. That type of gang is "advanced" and has many other implications. The group dynamics can start at any level and may lead to more serious manipulation as these girls see how powerful they can become as a group.

Yes......nipping it in the bud is paramount...IMHO

The real "street gangs" develop a sense of "family" and importance as the group becomes threatening and feared as a force in the community. It is this sense of belonging that is believed to draw many teens into the ranks as a gangmenber.
