Ted,

Despite the fact that I am not thrilled about selective enforcement of Terms of Use by SI, and the fact that in the past Scumbria has made valuable contributions technology-wise, over last few months, Scumbria has turned into a fake phony and a fraud, doing it knowingly and consciously.

It is very different from other people who may post similar stuff as he does, who don't know any better and mean well. Scumbria has been intentionally dishonest, and when caught, dishonest in the position of being caught, rather than admit mistake (intentional or not).

It was only when Bob Grutza nailed him that I realized that there is no point in skirting the issue, no point in not calling spade a spade.

I don't know what it is about politics that made him throw everything away for a few one liners (however inaccurate). But I believe in redemption (and hope that SI suspension is temporary). I don't mind his in-your-face style if there is some honesty, and and a signal to noise ratio higher than Yahoo BBS. (neither of which has been the case recently).

Joe

Ted, the chicken man is, as near as I can tell, an expert at the TOU game. Like Elmer and Albert on the old thread, but TLC is an order of magnitude more skillful, the best I've seen. The SI TOU game is an old one, and I think the current downsided admin staff is more susceptible than ever to manipulation.

It's no big deal, short term suspensions used to be almost a badge of honor when SI was more active. Once the intended target has seen the game played a few times, susceptibility is much lower. The W thread, like most political "discussion" on SI, is a joke from the start, anyway.
