RUMOURS OF LAY-OFFS AMOUNTING TO 30,000 JOBS (News agency Direkt) -- On Friday, in connection to the quarterly report, Ericsson is expected to present further austerity measures, TT wrote according to business daily Dagens Industri.
According to rumours, the staff will be cut by 30%, equivalent to 30,000 employees world-wide.
"It will surely be in that size-range, if that is enough. But the question is where to cut staff," Tommy Jahrl, Sif Union chairman at Ericsson Mobile in Linkoping said, according to TT.
