Text copy in Adobe Acrobat Reader:

I don't know whether this works in version 3, but here are instructions for version 4 for Windows:

First click the "Text Select" button on the toolbar (a large "T" with a small rectangle to the right). You should then be able to select text in the usual way using your mouse. Once you have selected the desired text, click on the copy button (depicted by the standard MS "copy" icon on the toolbar). The text should now be in your clipboard.

Note: You can also perform more complicated types of copy operations (for example, one or more columns in a table) by following the instructions in the Adobe help file.

If you want to download and install an updated version of Adobe Acrobat reader, a free download is available from Adobe at: adobe.com
