Brown Brothers' Blood Tells Investors To 'Hang In There'

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Charles Blood, the director of financial markets
strategy for Brown Brothers Harriman, has a tip for worried or discouraged
investors: "The last thing anybody should be doing is giving up here."
In a CNBC interview Monday, Blood said that "if you've lasted this long, hang
in there."
He recommends semiconductor and semiconductor equipment stocks, saying they
are typically the first stocks to bottom and they've "showed signs of doing
that."

Blood also said it will be interesting to see Tuesday if Cisco Systems Inc.
(CSCO) hits a new 52-week low after its late Monday announcement that fiscal
third-quarter revenue will be about 30% less than the fiscal second quarter,
and that it was cutting 8,500 jobs.
Blood said there's already a lot of bad news reflected in Cisco's current
stock price.
