The world is what you make of it. Just because you can't figure out how to make anything of it without invoking a deus ex machina doesn't mean that everyone else is similarly impaired. Of course, since your variant of "creation science" has become trendy on the right, I guess it's understandable that you're flogging it to death.

To me, then, belief is mainly an affirmation that it all matters, really and truly, in the fabric of things and to their Creator........


It seems to me that this is the purpose religion is supposed to serve--bringing hope and comfort to those who hunger for it. I'm glad it works for you.

Too bad that religion can't seem to accomplish that worthy goal without all the baggage.
