MSFT was threatening back in the days when BEAS was around $6 (Taking into account the two splits that came later)
MSFT announced that their FUD product would compete with BEAS and
BEAS tanked accordingly (actually, MSFT did it twice :-), I think
the second tank was not as hard, since more people were on to the game.

John McPeake is the Prudential Securities analyst, who down graded BEAS, because of the Microsoft possibility of competing someday. This was one of the reasons he gave for the down grade...

Most of these analyst don't have a clue what BEAS does.
