Unless people decide to interfere with me (or others) based on their arbitrary beliefs. Then I have to protest. Because it seems a pointless infliction of suffering to me. It may not be. It might actually be great that some people increase the suffering in the world. But since I can't be sure of that I try to stop such things, within the scope of my limited comprehension of the nature of suffering and my limited power. So although the universe may be unknowable, one doesn't have to be inert. One could choose to be inert- I don't have a problem with that choice. But it's not mine.
