>>You sound more and more like Bill every day.<< gst, go easy, man. them be fightin' words ;-) victor has a point. savings isn't the be all, end all. however, i don't think either of us were arguing it was, hence the huge disagreement. imho, it is a single data point, out of many, that indicates unsustainable spending over the long term. sure, folks make money in other ways - they always have and always will. savings isn't perfect, but knowledge can be gleaned from it - especially from the direction and magnitude.
