Rather depends on one's view of reason, doesn't it? But even granting some of your stricture's, I think reason is very useful in understanding women, love, and raising children. I personally think that one could not succeed in love without the ability to analyze and address problems that inevitably arise in the course of a relationship, for example. As for taste, I think a lot can be learned from inquiring into why we typically enjoy a sunset, and therefore that reason may play a role......
