I notice you like to vent your frustration on Christians. Why not use Muslims for your examples, or how about Zen Buddhists, the Bahai's, etc. I suspect that the continued strong prevailing Christian influences in America has something to do with it. America has been more influenced and shaped by Christians than all the atheists, agnostics and other religions put together.

I don't know why you think I am the right person to explain or defend fundamentalism. I merely objected to what I considered (and consider) your overly broad statements about fundamentalists, derived, I think, from the public representatives of fundamentalism -- which is like judging all black people on the antics of Al Sharpton and his ilk.

I'll get to your specific issues later, if I remember to, but right now I've got to leave for a meeting.
