Since MPEG2 is already highly compressed, how are they getting an order of magnitude further compression without sacrificing something significant. ---- What ever happened to Digital Furnace (acquired by broadcom, but not a peep that I've seen since then)? They made big compression claims for cable plant, but from the claims made in the DigitalFountain article, digital fountain could extinguish digital furnace--unless it was mainly blowing a lot of hot air to start with<gg>.
