Jacob,
I dont see the upcoming weakness in consumer spending that you see. Actually, particularly in the northeast i see renewed spending after a bleak winter. Many retailers have confirmed that the downturn in the first quarter was weather related. If you turn out to be wrong about the consumer, you will need to be nimble with the shorts. Today struck me as a normal pull back from last week. Now if we can get over cisco warning news just breaking. mike

I don't use TA, but I looked at the charts. I think this rally will move stocks like AMAT, KLAC, and NVLS above the previous stall points before it turns down.

I am very nervous about the economy and tech stocks, but I will continue to buy at the levels I have indicated in prior posts. I will sell if prices seem too high and my current targets seem high.

It is very difficult to pick bottoms because both fundamentals and sentiment are involved and I can't predict sentiment.

I am playing with less than 10% of my net assets and less than 16% of my liquid assets. My "play" portfolio is about 29% cash.
