If we can never know the truth about anything no one can ever tell you you are wrong. Even if you are obviously wrong by any measure or norm, you can simply deny it by saying that no one can KNOW anything about anything. Hence, X's position. If adopted you can never be wrong about anything.

We can never know the objective truth about anything- as far as I can tell, and I might find it later, so that isn't an absolute statement. We can agree to agree on the things most important to societal living based on the subjective nature of our realities in order to live together. You will find all over the world (and across time) people have found interesting ways to come together in a sort of subjective collusion over the nature of reality. Were the cannibal tribes "wrong" because they evolved systems of living that involved cannibalism? Are we "wrong" for not having cannibalism in our society? Who can say objectiely? Practically we don't have it, so it is "wrong" subjectively to us.

The teaching of the subjective and collusive nature of reality is of immense practicality to anyone who thinks about it a little bit. What you teach, becomes reality (at least on a subjective level). So if I choose to change reality to suit my personal preferences for harmony and peace (which I do, because strife and fighting takes energy and I am lazy, and peace is conducive to laziness and people who seek comfortable lives) it behooves me to make an impact on as many people as I can to bring them around to my way of thinking. Which I do.
