I made this sauce to go on pasta for tonight. It also can be used for basting chicken or fish.

Lemon Herb Pesto

2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup walnuts, toasted (or pine nuts)
1 cup flat leaf parsley
1 package fresh basil leaves (3/4 ounce package)
1 TBSP dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning salt
1/4 cup olive oil
2 TBSP lemon jiuce

Place garlic and walnuts in work bowl of food processor fitted with steel knife blade, and process until they are a paste consistency. Add fresh herbs and process until herbs are incorporated into paste. Add dijon mustard and lemon pepper; pulse to combine. (If thinner pesto is desired, add additional olive oil.) Toss pesto with hot cooked pasta, or use as a basting sauce for grilled chicken or fish.
Makes about 3/4 cup pesto.
Can be frozen.

Yes ma'am, hail. Couldn't believe it myself. After having temps in the mid 90's, tomorrow we'll be lucky to see 70!

If you don't like the weather in Houston, just wait.....it'll change!
