What I am more interested in discussing is if anyone watched the myriad Jesus shows this weekend. I only caught a small part but it seemed interesting. they talked about what a person acutally dies from when they crucified(asphyxiation(sp?) of all things) and what the genetic makeup of Jesus based on what part of the world and and lifestyle he was leading.

Morning Markus,

The best Jesus film I have seen is the first of a film series, done by a South African Director(I forget his name) called 'MATTHEW, THE VISUAL BIBLE'. The actor Bruce Marchiano did a wonderful job. He has since made that his ministry.

Couple things I see there. There is no reason to think anything other that that Jesus was raised in a carpenters home. And I believe He learned that trade. In doing so, what might have happened? Well, I was raised in a carpenters home too. And couple things I do know. I worked VERY hard..(probably not near as hard as Jesus had to though) and I was VERY strong because of the labor. I imagine Jesus was made tough and strong too. Strong enough to take a Roman beating and STILL walk to His own crucifixion? I say yes.

AND now, having some experience with very labored breathing , I know how important the diaphram is and how His being nailed to that Cross would have caused very intense pain(from the nails in hands<or wrists>, and feet, to raise Himself up to be able to breathe, or asphyxiation when He let down.

Anyway, just a couple of observations.

Dan

Hi Mark,

Just passing by and thought I would supply a small interlude from all of the passionate republican spin that fills this board.

Enjoy!

Good God...
or
Dearest Father

How is everything in Heaven today God.
How is my old friend Mark Silvers doing ?
I hope everything is well with him and I am certain you would know.
Thanks God...Have a nice day.

PS We are discussing replacing you and we were wondering wether you personally think we should lease "God" or buy "God". If you think we should buy "God", should we buy a new "God" or a used "God".
