42 MILLION SHARES TODAY! Lots of institutional cash moving in...

Look at the chart showing the last 5 days' volume for JNPR:

askresearch.com

Every day has been over 40,000,000 shares!!!

Today JNPR is holding its gains well on good volume again. The strength of this move and the amount of volume churning at this price level ($50's) fixes a new floor for JNPR as many new holders--including institutions who now have a green light to buy after the earnings release--have a new cost basis at this level.

And, there are undoubtedly numerous sellers who bought at lower prices and who are taking profit at these levels.

Once that supply of profit-takers dries up (today or this week), JNPR will experience less selling pressure, except for shorts who are more cautious in this market after being absolutely burned by JNPR last week.

Had JNPR punched up to $50 on low volume and volume petered out to a mere 20 million shares per day, I would be concerned. But so far, I'm impressed with JNPR's performance much to the dismay of the resident shorts.

JNPR just isn't giving them a chance to cover and it gets more painful each day.
