Gersh. My understanding is that for years

the Chinese have been gradually lessening the amount of their reserves held in US dollars which would be Tsy paper of various maturities.

But I'll defer to someone more acquainted with the specifics than I am as to what their actual holdings might be now vs let's say 10 years ago.

To know if they are selling in size now, we'd probably have to rely on rumors. With the confidential nature of such transactions, the selling broker would risk losing future business were he quoted as the direct source about any Chinese transactions.

All JMVVHO of course. When I was a broker, my business mix didn't include work with large institutions or foreign governments.
