Our internet and computer technology dominates the world markets. We've wrested that away from Japan and we should want to keep it that way. The internet, broad band and wireless communication is still the future and will soon enter a new phaze of recovery and next-phase evolution. We just got a year (or years) ahead of ourselves there and greed and irrational dreams ruled the day. Now all that is over, the stocks have crashed and no one is fooling themselves anymore (except maybe some shorts who think we're going lower still). I believe that any of the leading tech companies bought at these levels will be very rewarding to a long-term investors, and in the short-term we will have some nice upward revision going on, in waves, with fewer and fewer sell-offs as we march back up the ladder. Some stocks will lag others will lead but the average tech stock will do just fine going forward. Some of the dogs will double or triple. Of course I prefer to buy on the dips and into bad news. You save money and are in a nice short-term trading position if you want to take profits during the rallies. All in all I'd say we'll be in pretty good shape from here on out with a few dips and small valleys here and there. And I certainly didn't feel that way 2-6 weeks ago. I actually capitulated three weeks ago on techs and that was a humbling experience. But then I realized they had hit bottom only a week later. So far so good. Today was just profit-taking and a warnings dip. Should make for a good buying op tomorrow. I'm actually hoping we go down sharply.
