Sorry, Naz down 63% about the same as INTC, AAPL and WCOM, but many top techs are down much more. CSCO, NT, ORCL and SUNW down 80%. LU and YHOO are down 90%. CMGI and SCNT down 99%. Depends on the sector and their exposure to the net. MSFT has actually held strong as has VZ and IBM.

Interesting to see that those with extra problems have also been the hardest hit. So maybe the extra bad news is all priced in. And maybe some of those which are down the most will re-gain the most as we gradually recover. Especially if they get the revenues going again.

Think about it. Will CMGI ever be a $10 stock again? Very probable. That's a 500% gain. And will LU ever hit $20 again? Sure, easy. That's a 300% gain. Ditto NOVL, COMS and any other that's not going out of business.

Important that these hard-hit ones have enough cash to withstand the worst case scenario. LU has three billion. Those with best cash hoards relative to market cap are NOVL, AAPL, COMS, SCNT. NOVL and COMS are other dogs I believe could make 300% in a year or so. As could PALM. Don't think it's possible? Well it wouldn't take that much. All they need is a mediocre amount of execution and gradual recovery in the economy.

But boy am I glad I sold AAPL, COMS, NOVL, CMGI and LU for profits last year. Though I did get stock with LOR and ESHR (ouch, though both up 50% in the last two weeks). Would buy all of them on dips from here esp those with lotsa cash. Cash is king and every dog will eventually have its day.
