I think you’re correct in that the reduction of feature size driving cost down by more devices on the same size wafer. Adding to this is technology which adds value, while reducing in size also helps speed.

Technology "copper, low-k" and size "300mm" are not part of the Law. Currently the size reduction issue is being hindered by the litho's "ASML" ability to shine thru the mask "clearly". I believe Intel recently said "there will be a new masks standard for the smaller features".

Moore's law talks about price declines over time.

It doesn't mention how that increased productivity is obtained.
If you wish to exclude anything but feature size reductions, be my guest. That's your choice.
