Don't know if Cisco is a good buy but their warning was expected by the market. If Cisco just stabilizes right here, the Nasdaq itself will go higher.

Investors were probably holding off buying many other technology stocks just because of Cisco--it was the dark cloud that was over this market. It appears there is no doubt about that.

Intel earnings are now a NON-EVENT, IMHO.

BTW--Intel will not be as bad as Cisco. They still make money and have lots of cash. Cisco may not go anywhere and maybe even down a bit but the rest of the market is heading up. There is no way Intel will be as bad since they are not dependent on huge telco contracts as the networkers are.
Forget about serious inventory problems as well.

The old adage "Buy on Bad News" should be refined
to read "Buy on Last Bad News" .

I dont think this market is out of the woods.
