"The vicious circle of poor parenting, TV brainwashing, and unhealthy food is a closed loop. One feeds the next."

Absolutely. Perhaps the single most effective means we have of improving educational performance in our schools by throwing money at the problem is by providing the entire student body with three squares a day. Students should get three nutritionally sound (no catsup as a vegetable) meals a day at school. They should receive breakfast when they arrive, lunch at mid-day, and dinner before they leave.

"One feeds the next"

Correct, sort of. Poor parenting feeds the other two. Don't see how it can be the other way around though. How does a kid get TV brainwashing and unhealthy food if he/she has quality parenting?
