Have half my money in VZ and SBC bought near their bottoms. And like to get cash-rich dogs very cheap. Not exactly a wild speculator. I never go to Vegas though I admit sometimes the market doesn't seem much different. Ther is always risk. Ironically though, sometimes the riskiest looking are the best investments. Sometimes. Do some research on the doggiest looking stocks you can find then compare them to the most highly valued blue chips. Not saying one's better than the other but certainly you'll see the bad news well priced-in by now. That's why I tend to go 50/50 between them. I like to sleep nights too.
