re: Market seems to be expecting very negative numbers from INTC and TXN.

We are seeing a pattern, just this month, where bad news is being ignored in techs. NTAP says EPS is going to be 1/10 of expected, and the stock is flat. Semis cut capex, and the semi-equips are flat. CSCO announces immense charges, and the stock isn't anywhere near setting new lows. And JNPR is up from 30 to 50 recently, I guess investors are hoping they will be immune to what's happening to every other company in their sector. WCOM bottomed last December, although I haven't heard anything good out of any telco service provider in 2001 so far. I'm betting that this is just a bear rally, but it is impossible to know how high and how long the bear rally will last. And I could also be wrong about this being a bear rally, if we get the "V-shaped" recovery, like in 1998.
