Some yes and some no. SGI makes the tools that allow for the most efficient development of the next generation of whatever. Also in streaming media and this new area of monster entertainment simulation only possible now because of the decreased cost of supercomputing and no-one has SGI's visual technology integrated into monster compute with monster I/O systems. Disk storage used to be another massive cost along with memory. So the dramatic reduction in cost leads to the value added of the applications and the applications are visual. One stop shopping and it's not IBM or HP or SUN. They don't have the bricks and they don't have the applications. Linux is an additive leverage as cheap Intel can allow home additive development not possible with NT or any other sun or hp unix workstations. tom watson tosiwmee
