E,

My Refresh button disappeared

I'm using IE 5.5

Go to view..click...toolbars...customize...see if you see it listed on the right side of the window....add if necessary.

If that doesn't do it, put your mouse cursor on the extreme left edge of the toolbar that refresh is supposed to be in...the cursor should give you a double arrow...jigger it around (left and right) and with luck the refresh button might appear.

I also used the advanced search. I'm not concerned with the way they say they are using the info. Thanks for the effort on history but I have given up on that subject. :-)

You can move those toolbars around making a google toolbar underneath your standard one if you have a large enough monitor to not need the real estate for info. Carefully place your mouse pointer next to the vertical gray bar (not on it or you will get the 2-headed arrow) to the left of the word Google and press the left mouse button until you get a 4-headed arrow. You can then just drag it down and google will make another toolbar all to itself. It's touchy so you may have to try several times to get the right spot that turns it to the 4-arrow.

Here's a pic...notice the 4-headed arrow next to Google
