My best guess is that it is a matter of time. I just don't see where the strength will come from, especially considering how overbought things are. If this market manages to zoom in the next few days, there will no doubt be a high degree of manipulation going on. It could happen, but even in this scenario the market needs to pullback moreso it can gain momentum to break above 10,300 DOW and 1200 S&P

They thought the worst is over...well guess what...

Hewlett-Packard (HWP) 29.18 -0.81 (-2.7%): Comes under heavy selling pressure over the past 5 minutes; hearing from trading floors that company is planning to hold a worldwide, employee-only conference call at 4ET; speculation is that company will announce a round of layoffs and could pre-announce the qtr. At this time, we have not been able to confirm that company will host a call this evening.
