Rory introduced me to ROYL and JQP is a believer. I am just sitting on mine, enjoying its basis of under 5, and believing it will go higher. I guess I should start thinking about an upper "target," as the supposed pros say, but as long as they can sell gas into the California market at 2-3 times what everyone else is getting, it's hard to see why the stock should not rise considerably further. Why do I not buy more? Stubborn adherence to diversification.

ROYL -

Stock is VERY thin, (and I mean thin -) when I tried to to buy 1000 share lots, it moved 3/8 after my second buy.

It's a small, well run company with mostly gas in California. The best analyst is Alex Montano from C.K.Cooper

My target price is around $11.00 - $15.00 by sometime in fall/winter

Bought most of mine around $ 6.00- 7.00

Yahoo thread is pretty good.

California gas prices were about $3.50-4.00 this time last year, went to $6.00 by September 2000.
They now get over $10.00 for the gas they produce in California, and this is showing up in earnings and now the stock price.

Production volume is growing also, as they continue to have drilling success in the Victor Ranch area.

Because the stock is small, it moves in steps - and there can be long delays between good news and when the price moves...
Because it is so small, I would not take an overly large position - stay diversified...
