Hi Thread, .55 - .65 ---> .81 - .83 means upgrades on EPS tomorrow, I bet

Analysts WERE expecting .55 - .65 EPS for the year-2001.

However, Barrett said "microprocessor business appears to have stabilized and we expect to see normal seasonl patterns going forward from our current business level."

It's STABILIZED !!!

To me, this means (by applying normal seasonal history), implies EPS for 2001 could be:

.16 (1st quarter-01), .15 ("2nd quarter is expected to be 6.2-6.8B", which is about flat from 1st quarter), .22 (3rd quarter seasonal history could imply this), .30 (seasonal history could imply this in 4th quarter) = .83 EPS Est for 2001

So, folks that could be a jump

Est .55 --> Est .83 EPS 2001

Hurray !

I would expect some analyst upgrades on EPS tomorrow.

edit: INTC up 11% after hours (even QQQ is up 8%)

Regards,
Amy J
