Tony, The way I saw it---Kumar is focussing on the long term view unlike his previous comments about the short term. It is the focus that matters---he seems to be looking beyond the vally....and he did say very bullish long term. Very bullish long term does not mean short term bearish. That is how I see his tone change I noticed.

In addition, he recognized that there is a trend to buying big cap growth stocks even if there is no short term growth.

I think one can read into that some positive implications, IMHO.

Again, it is what he focussed on. I could sense Kumar was happy with Intel's report (I believe he is an ex-employee also).
That is why he can say things like "AMD is roadkill" like he did a while back.
