I have had the most stellar afternoon. Union negotiations. Since they negotiate with all of the contractor's at one time I am bound by everyone and I think that a strike is where it is going to be. I mean the union is only asking for 35% increase on the benefit package and a 38% pay raise on their check. I mean gee that seems reasonable to me. 140 miles away in the big city they can get that so they should be able to get that here, right? I think I will have some time to fish, perhaps forever. Anybody need any sheet metal work done? I am giving serious thought to returning to the 2 man family shop and just take enough work to keep my brother and myself occupied. The only positive to the day was my employee on the board getting up from his chair and leaving after the union presented. They asked him where he was going and he said back to work since there was no sense wasting time talking insanity.
