The SIA numbers are billings -- the SIA stopped talking & reporting Bookings and book-to-bill a few years ago.

Billings will tend to be a lagging, confirming indicator for now - but once most of the inventory and WIP in the factories is reduced, billings will become a much more concurrent (but not leading) indicator.

Also interesting that the Japan numbers seem to hold up well on a year to year basis....
