IBasis, BeVocal In European VoiceXML Tech Pact NEW YORK -- IBasis Inc. (IBAS) and BeVocal Inc. of California signed a European voiceXML technology contract. Financial terms weren't disclosed. IBasis said in a press release Monday that BeVocal Cafe will be combined with iBasis Network for Internet telephony to provide European speech application developers with local access to BeVocal Inc.'s VoiceXML speech application development environment. The company said the service will be available initially be in the U.K., with expansion to other European and Asian cities to come later. Internet voice communication company IBasis will work with BeVocal to promote VoiceXML development in Europe. Company Web site: cafe.bevocal.com and ibasis.net
